Create Web Communities using Free Forums
Do you want to come across brand new people, talk about different passions, arrange events or just have fun by making conversation with others? Internet forums have been around for some time now and they are frequently free of charge and simple to setup. Forums are in fact online discussion boards where people share all kind of information and talk about a group of subjects; for example about making money online. In such case, you would setup topics around various money making opportunities, promotion methods, and places to advertise, payment processors or effective marketing methods. Usually, there are administrators and moderators that are ensuring that the discussions are kept in order and on to the subject.
A few issues to reflect on while starting an online forum:
Cost – usually you can find at no charge and completely free to use. Most likely there will some advertising on the forum, but in these days which sites do not have them?
Features – does the forums allow avatars, private messages, user levels, themes, emotion icons, etc.
Security – is it possible to make forums where only registered users can post to it? It would help keep most of the spammers away!
I just cannot emphasis enough how important that is! It is very important for you to have total control over the forum and over who is in your forum. Even a single dishonest person can ruin all your efforts.
It is not unusual for a forum to have moderators. Moderators are people imposing the rules in the forum. It is essential for you to select your help intelligently. As far as the administrators as concerned, there should be only one of them. Administrators have the key to all the doors and can put your forum on fire!
At last, in order to make your forum a success and a big hit you have to able to attract people to it to join. Spread the word about your forum; tell your friends, family and business partners. Promote your forum everywhere you can and you are allowed to. Promote it at other forums, where it is permitted, start contests at your forum with cash rewards, start a referral contests. These will all attract more people to join the forum. Make sure that your forum is listed on search engines, especially on Google. The start is always hard but after the initial setup more and more people should join the forum.
Active and interesting forum is a magnet for people to join. Be yourself an active member of the forum; create new threads, reply to the posts. After a while, in normal circumstances you should have a forum that you and your old and new friends, as well as business partners can enjoy.
